Payments, cancellations, and refund eligibility

CMLS provides document preparation and processing services that begin once an order is submitted and intake is completed. Due to the nature of these services, the following refund policy applies.

01General Rule

All fees paid for services are non-refundable once document preparation has begun.

02Eligible Refund Scenarios

Refunds may be considered under the following limited circumstances:

  • Duplicate order submitted in error.
  • Service not initiated by CMLS.
  • Technical failure preventing document delivery.

03Non-Refundable Services

The following services are non-refundable once performed:

  • Completed document preparation, DIY or full-service.
  • Filing, recording, or mailing of documents.
  • Certified mailing, notary, or third-party service fees.
  • Administrative and processing work.

04Client Errors

CMLS is not responsible for refunds due to:

  • Incorrect or incomplete information provided by the client.
  • Missed deadlines resulting from delayed client submission.
  • Change in client decision after processing has started.

05Cancellations

Requests for cancellation must be made before processing begins. Once work has started, cancellation may not be possible.
