Our Commitment

We'll Take Care of the Hard Work

"The work that's invisible to you is the most important thing to us."

What You Do

It's simple. Submit your request with as much project information as possible — that's it.

  • Submit your request online, by mail, or by fax
  • Include as much project information as you have
  • Get back to the job — we handle everything else

What We Do

On average: 6–8 verification touchpoints per job across agencies
  • Research your request via phone calls and emails — verifying job address, property owner, direct contractor, and lender
  • Document all interactions; a dedicated CSR contacts you if any information is missing or unclear
  • Department supervisor reviews the project for completeness and accuracy before any document is printed
  • Document sent via certified mail to all required parties (owner, GC, lender) meeting state-specific requirements
  • Taken to the U.S. Post Office — USPS provides daily mail receipts confirming the notice was sent
  • All data retained for three years — accessible whenever you need it
  • You receive a copy of the fully verified document via email the same day it is mailed, including USPS tracking
Our Process

How It Works

The easy-to-follow process will get you compliant, organized, and protect your payment rights.
How It Works Process Overview
Client Project Begins
01
Step 1

Client Submission

Submit your request online via the client portal — or by mail or fax — with as much project information as possible. That's the only step you have to take.

02
Step 2

Research & Verification

Cover Me researches every request by making phone calls and sending emails to confirm your project information. We accurately identify the correct job address, property owner, direct contractor, and lender. On average, each job involves 6–8 verification touchpoints across agencies before all information is finalized. All interactions are documented.

03
Step 3

Document Preparation

We prepare the required notices and lien documents based on your verified project data, applying the correct statutory form for private or public works.

04
Step 4

Supervisor Review

A department supervisor reviews every document for completeness and accuracy before it is printed or filed. This independent second-reviewer layer is built into every request.

05
Step 5

Deadline Tracking

Automated, multi-state deadline tracking keeps your projects compliant. We monitor statutory windows and notify you of upcoming requirements.

06
Step 6

Certified Mailing & Filing

The document is sent via certified mail to meet state-specific requirements, then taken to the U.S. Post Office for mailing to all relevant parties — property owner, general contractor, and construction lender. USPS provides daily mail receipts to confirm delivery.

07
Step 7

Same-Day Confirmation

You receive a copy of the fully verified notice or lien via email the same day it is mailed. Your copy includes the USPS tracking number so you can confirm delivery yourself.

08
Step 8

Project Closeout & Records

Final documents, logs, and a compliance summary are retained in your file. Cover Me retains all data for three years — available whenever you need it.
